“Both men from Mamelodi had a court appearance in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court on Monday.”

She said the police docket had not arrived back at the station to provide comment on the court ruling at the time.

“We will provide the outcome once the investigating officer returns with the docket shortly.”

She said the men would be checked if they were linked to other housebreaking cases in Brooklyn.

The men were arrested in Murray Street in Brooklyn after a high-speed chase by the security officers.

Hi-Risk spokesperson Arthur Crewe said the men had taken items from the house.

“Our officer spotted a silver VW Polo parked near one of the houses and attempted to question the driver.”
