UPDATE: Pretoria club attackers to appear in court.

The two men arrested for allegedly beating a man to death with a brick outside a club in Pretoria central are expected in court this week.

According to the Pretoria Central police spokesperson, Captain Augustinah Selepe the two – aged 24 and 38 – will appear in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.

The suspects remain in police custody.

Rekord earlier reported that around 01:00, the victim realised that cellphone had been stolen at Channel M Night Club on the corner of WF Nkomo Road and Bosman Street.

“As soon as he discovered his phone was missing, he and his friends made enquiries at the night club,” Selepe previously adding that the information they received led them to the suspects.

“An argument started between the man and suspects. The man was allegedly beaten with a brick by the suspects.”

The man was declared dead on the scene.

“A swift response from the police led to the arrest of two suspects after they were identified by an eye witness.”
