A Bronkhorstspruit beauty has been announced as one of Mrs SA top 100 semifinalists.

Born and bred in Zebediela, Limpopo, Mokgaetji Phala, who works in Sunnyside, says Mrs SA is not the typical beauty pageant.

It offers married South African women who have real-life careers, families, and hobbies the chance to compete for a prestigious title.

The Mrs SA pageant is about giving unsung superwomen a chance to seen, and a platform to reach a new level of success and visibility on a global stage.

“Congratulations to the top 100 semifinalists. We received the most entries in the history of Mrs SA this year, so you should be proud of yourself,” said CEO, Joani Johnson.

“We look forward to working with you. You are about to embark on a life-changing journey.’’

The top 100 will be whittled down to 25 at the semifinal weekend at Emperors Palace from 26 to 28 April.

One of the top 25 will be announced Mrs SA at the annual Cansa gala dinner at Emperors Palace on 28 April.

Mrs SA has the reputation for being a women-empowerment programme and prides itself on choosing its winner among the real, bona fide women.
