26 law violators nabbed at the weekend

A total of 26 suspects were nabbed by police in the Pretoria CBD at the weekend.

Pretoria Central police spokesperson Sergeant Tsietsi Lamola said the lawbreakers were arrested for crimes including fraud, assault, business burglary, possession of drugs, robbery and possession of suspected stolen goods.

They are expected to appear in court this week.

The Pretoria West cluster police together with the Tshwane Metro Police, Home Affairs and South African Revenue Services, conducted a roadblock on Es’kia Mphahlele Drive on Friday.

“It is alleged that one motor vehicle registration was found to have been tampered with and it was then seized. The case of possession of suspected stolen vehicle is under investigation by the Tshwane West SAPS,” he said.

Lamola warned: “We are not going to leave any stone unturned during our anti-crime operations.”
