Driver flees scene after crash in the east

Six people were injured when a vehicle crashed into a tree in the east of Pretoria on Friday.

Netcare 911 spokesperson Chris Botha said the accident happened in Boschkop Road around 22:02.

“Reports from the scene indicate that a vehicle with seven occupants veered off the road and collided with a tree,” said Botha.

“Two people sustained serious injuries while four suffered minor injuries.”

He said the driver fled the scene.

Botha said paramedics from various services stabilised the injured before taking them to hospital.
