An 82-year-old woman went missing after taking the wrong offramp between Rustenburg and Pretoria on Monday.

Stephanie Hendrika Roos from Brooklyn, who is missing, was driving behind her daughter Tilania du Preez on a trip to the capital city from Rustenburg, said her granddaughter Felicia du Preez.

“My mother signalled around 17:00 that she was about to make a turn and my grandmother must have been distracted as she did not see this,” said Felicia.

Felicia said her mother hooted and to warn her mother that she had taken a wrong turn, but was appeared to have had no effect.

Felicia said her mother quickly reversed attempting to find her mother, but Roos had already disappeared. Talinia tried to call her mother’s phone but the phone was off.

“She never arrived home,” said Felicia.

She was wearing a grey tracksuit top and pants, a sleeveless black lace top and slipper shoes.

Roos was driving a white Toyota Corolla 2010 Model 1.6 with Licence plate registration HHB 209 NW.

Missing people in South Africa, a group on social media said a report was received that Roos was seen in Pretoria and family members were on their way to see if they could identify her.

Felicia said no new information had surfaced but her grandmother was reported missing to police on Monday.

Anyone with information on the matter could call the Brooklyn police, Detective Constable Roderick Hlongwane on 012-366-1735 or the police missing peoples line on 082-822-6649.
