The Aeronautical Society of SA’s Aero Challenge 2013

Aviation fans can brace themselves for a fun day out.

The Aeronautical Society of SA’s Aero Challenge 2013 is heading your way.

The goal of the competition is to conceptualise, design, construct and fly a radio-controlled model aircraft capable of taking off under its own power and flying as fast as possible over a short course while carrying a pre-specified payload.

Includes an Inter-Varsity and an open competition.

More info for competitors on Swartkops Air Force Base, Sunday 20 October 2013, from 09h30.

The AFB is open to spectators and no entrance fee is charged.

Refreshments will be on sale.
