GALLERY: Memorial service at Loftus

Crowds are gathering at Loftus Versveld to bid farewell to rugby legend Joost van der Westhuizen.

The memorial service is scheduled to start at 12:30.

Supporters were asked to wear their springbok jerseys and many have honoured that.

Van der Westhuizen lost his battle to Motor Neuron Disease on Monday.

He is affectionately known as Jersey No. 9, and is survive by his parents, brother, two children and Amor Vittone.
