The Hazel Food Market was buzzing as hundreds of Pretorians flocked in for some delicious food on Saturday morning.
Event coordinator Jaqueline Roussouw said the aim of the market was to bring residents of Pretoria fresh products straight from the producer.

“More than of half of the people gathered here are regulars. This is a place to be on Saturday mornings, and it (food market) has been going on for six years.”
Roussouw said over 30 different foods from 30 countries were on display.
“We have a variety of food, something good for everybody.”
She said joggers and cyclist had inspired the market to open up early.
“Most stores open up around 07:30 these days because cyclists have their breakfast here at the market. It’s a meeting point for them and they also get a chance to socialise,” she said.
Roussouw said one of the biggest events at the market would take place on 29 April.
“We have a night market that day, and usually we have thousands of people attending. There’s always a nice buzz under the lights, it’s a place to be.”
