The police previously said the jewellery store was burgled by an unconfirmed number of men who held security officers captive before breaking into the store.

Spokesperson Captain Dave Miller said the men were believed to have fled with an undisclosed amount of jewellery.

He said the police forensic team was still on the scene looking for more details in the theft.

“We believe the men fled in a vehicle and were assumed to be armed according to the security guards.”
