Amy-Lee (11) to strut her stuff in the US

A Pretoria learner will be performing at an international talent show in July.

Amy-Lee Groen (11), a Maragon private school learner, will be representing South Africa at the Applause Rising Talent Showcase in Orlando, Florida, US.

Groen has been modelling since she was eight.

She said the moment she stepped onto the runway at her very first modelling show, she knew modelling was her passion.

Groen attended the Figures modelling school in Pretoria for three years and won the National Figures Model of The Year competition in her age category in December 2014.

She then joined the Just You Model and Artist Management agency in Rivionia, Johannesburg.

Agency director Elsubie Verlinden spotted Groen’s talent at an audition in April 2016.

In October last year, Groen showcased her talent at the International ARTS Talent Showcase at Silverstar casino.

She performed with hundreds of talented models, actors, dancers and singers in front of international scouting agent Kim Myers and was chosen to showcase her talent in America.

She will be entering the modelling, acting and dancing categories.
