Win tickets to see The Happy Clapper at Atterbury Theatre

Witness acclaimed film and stage actor Aaron McIlroy move from the Old Testament to the New Testament via three radically different messengers: Rabbi Joel Lipschitz; Surfer Gary Van Vuuren and International Businessman V.J Moodley. Through them we discover: that Trinity is more than just a girl’s name; God is the ultimate life coach and why Christians are so happy that they clap!

Comedian Aaron McIlroy and Director Patrick Kenny have written a one man play, The Happy Clapper, to explain what Christians believe about God and why. For nearly three years Aaron (Dad in SPUD the Movie) and Patrick (East Coast Radio & SAFM) deliberated how they could bring the Christian message from the pulpit to the stage.

The show had to be funny, theologically bulletproof, and definitely not “cheezy” or “preachy”! The result is The Happy Clapper – a side-splittingly hilarious show that sold out its debut run. It has been performed in theatres and churches in Johannesburg, Durban, Pietermaritzburg and East London. Hailed by critics, believers and atheists alike as a comedic tour de force!
