NEWSFLASH: Hawks offices robbed in Silverton

The Hawks head office in Silverton was robbed on Wednesday morning.

Hawks spokesperson Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi confirmed the robbery.

“Computers and hard drives were stolen,” said Mulaudzi.

“We still have to ascertain if other confidential documents are missing but at this point we can confirm all dockets are safe.”

Mulaudzi said a team had been assembled to investigate the robbery and experts had been called in to help with forensics.

The Hawks were yet to provide a statement highlighting the full extent of the robbery.

Silverton police spokesperson Captain Jan Sepato said a docket of robbery had been opened.

No arrests had been made.
