Lamola said the woman informed other patrons about the rape and they helped her to report the matter to police.

“The complaint was attended to immediately and the suspect was positively located and arrested.”

“A case of rape is under investigation by the Tshwane West SAPS, and the suspect is expected to appear in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court soon.”

Lamola said another 29 people were nabbed for violating various laws at the weekend.

“All the suspects are expected to appear in court during this week and their cases are under investigation at Pretoria Central detective branch.”

Acting station commander Colonel Moses Dladla applauded the members for the good work done.

“People are advised to enjoy alcohol responsibly and not to fall into traps while at recreational centres,” said Dladla.

“We encourage owners of liquor outlets to strengthen security at their premises at all times during their business hours.”
