Fun race celebrates Women’s day

Fusion Sports successfully hosted their annual road race in Pretoria on Wednesday, in celebration of Women’s day.

The event was held in conjunction with Castle Walk shopping centre.

Participants donated food, blankets, clothes, and stationery to various charities.

“We are very excited to announce it is the 10th anniversary of the event,” said Fusion Sports founder and MD Liesel van Zyl.

“We had competitions for the best dressed king, queen, prince and princesses to add some extra fun to the day.”

Van Zyl said participants brought their dogs to join in the 5km run/walk.

The event ended with a ladies’ breakfast at Rademeyers restaurant in Moreleta Park.

“Through the event we are celebrating and inspiring women as individuals, wives, mothers and businesswomen to come together, share together, work together and succeed together.”

“Other stakeholders who took part in the event were small businesses and organisations that care for the sick, disadvantaged children and families.”

Organisations that took part in the road race included the Cancer Association of SA, Mission without borders and Khuluma family counselling.
