Wild and hairy movies to watch this weekend

Two of Hollywood’s most well-known comedic actresses star in one of the new movie releases this week, along with an animated comedy-adventure for the whole family.

Both movies are now showing at Nu Metro Menlyn Park and Nu Metro’s VIP complex at Parkview Centre in Pretoria East.

Snatched (16LV)

Starring iconic Hollywood actress Goldie Hawn and popular comedian Amy Schumer, Snatched is an adventure-comedy about fearless women with true power – to effectively fit the theme for Women’s month at Nu Metro.

After her boyfriend dumps her on the eve of an exotic vacation, impetuous dreamer Emily persuades her ultra-cautious mother, Linda to travel with her to paradise.

Polar opposites, Emily and Linda realise that working through their differences as mother and daughter – in an unpredictable, hilarious fashion – is the only way to escape the wildly outrageous jungle adventure they’ve fallen into.

The Son of Bigfoot (7-9PG LV)

Teenage outsider Adam sets out on an epic and daring quest to uncover the mystery behind his long-lost dad, only to find out his dad is none other than the legendary Bigfoot.

Dad has been hiding deep in the forest for years to protect himself and the rest of his family from HairCo, a giant corporation eager to run scientific experiments with special Bigfoot DNA.

As father and son start making up for lost time, Adam soon discovers he, too, is gifted with superpowers beyond his imagination.

The Son of Bigfoot is a 3D animated adventure the kids and the whole family will love.
