A vehicle caught fire inside a garage at a home in Elardus Park around 07:00 on Friday.

Lyttelton Sector 4 Community Policing Sub Forum spokesperson Willie Vorster said the fire did not spread to the home.

“Bull Security were the first ones on the scene and managed to get the fire under control before emergency services came and put it out,” said Vorster.

He said no one was injured during the blaze.

Bull Security spokesperson French Jooste said it took nearly two hours to completely put out the flames.

Jooste said the garage was damaged and the vehicle was completely burnt-out.
