The Mamelodi family is still searching for their teenage son who went missing four weeks ago.

Tshepo Mamogobo (16) of Mahube Valley Extension 3 was reported missing at the Mamelodi East police station on 13 September after he failed to return home from a school trip on 11 September.

Mamelodi police spokesperson, Captain Michael Mbewe confirmed the police were investigating a case of a missing person.

On 11 September, the Bona Lesedi High School grade 10 learner apparently told his parents he was going on a school trip to Moretele Park.

His mother, Dorothy Maremane said that was the last time she saw her firstborn son.

The school principal has confirmed the Grade 10 learners went on a trip that day but said Tshepo was not on the trip.
