WEATHER: Another heatwave for Pretoria

The South African weather service has issued a heatwave warning, saying Pretoria will experience persistently high temperatures throughout the weekend.

 This follows a heatwave a week ago in which the city endured maximum temperatures of almost 40 degrees Celsius.

The current heatwave will reach temperatures as high as 33 degrees.

With a rainfall probability of only 30 percent, the weather service cautioned people to stay hydrated at all times as the heatwave will likely last till Monday.

“Stay indoors in a cool room near a fan, if possible; avoid strenuous outdoor activity; playing excessive sport or hard labour,” they said.
