Residents of Refilwe in Region 5, east of Pretoria will be without water on Wednesday and Thursday.

The water supply interruptions were due to urgent service and maintenance work at the Refilwe reservoir, city spokesperson Lindela Mashigo said.

Interruptions will start on Wednesday at 20:00 until Thursday 20:00.

Mashigo said the city’s plumbers would clean the reservoir and flush the water reticulation network.

Residents will be supplied with water through roaming tankers.

“The City of Tshwane sincerely apologises for the inconvenience that may be encountered as a result of the urgent maintenance. We also appeal to all the residents to utilise water sparingly at all times,” Mashigo said.
