A man was arrested for possession of suspected stolen property in Moreleta Park in the early hours of Sunday.
Brinant security spokesperson Martin Barnard said the arrest happened during their routine patrols.
“We saw the suspected running and we gave chase. Shortly after, he was searched and arrested,” he said.
“In the suspect’s possession, we found jewellery, wrist watches, knives and housebreaking equipment. “
Barnard said he did not know yet from where the items were stolen.
“We’d like to thank the patrolling officers Romeo7, Romeo8 and VM20 for a job well done,” he said.
If anyone had items stolen, they can contact Brinant Security on 086-117-4343 to identify them.
Police spokesperson Captain Coba Brits said a case of suspected stolen goods was opened at the Garsfontein SAPS.
