Trio nabbed for unlicensed firearms and ammunition outside Pretoria

Three men were arrested for the possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition in Cullinan in the early hours of Friday morning.

Cullinan police spokesperson Constable Connie Moganedi said the trio were arrested during a routine police patrol in the area.

“During their patrol, they noticed a suspicious silver Toyota Corolla which had previously been reported by the community members as a suspicious vehicle driving around Cullinan area.

“Police then searched the suspects and their vehicle and found two firearms with ammunition,” she said.

Moganedi said the trio were detained and were expected to appear in the Cullinan Magistrates’ Court next week.
