Woolworths on Monday removed a product believed to be contaminated with listeria from its shelves.
Frozen Savoury Rice Mix was removed as part of the worldwide recall by the Hungarian Food Safety Agency as a precaution, Woolworths said in a statement on Monday.

“The mix is uncooked and frozen so requires cooking before consumption. Thorough cooking would ensure that the product is safe.”
The product contains frozen sweetcorn sourced from the Greenyard Factory in Hungary.
“The factory has been implicated as the potential source of a listeria outbreak in Europe,” Woolworths said.
