Today marked the annual “Legacy Wall Day”. Grade 7s came to school filled with excitement and enthusiasm to get their hands dirty.
Each year, they have the opportunity to leave their handprints on a special wall, to be remembered by their peers for the next year. Everybody leaves a story, better known as a legacy.
The handprints resemble the impact each learner made while attending Maragon Olympus.
Learners need to understand that they will be remembered by how they lived and what they did and that it impacts the actions of generations to come.
Although it is a fun-filled day, it also holds a sadness of the realisation that their lives are now changing as they move on to high school.
