The Hawks are investigating a corruption case involving a Bronkhorstspruit prosecutor, the National Prosecuting Authority said this week.
Advocate Solly Leballo appeared in the Pretoria specialised commercial court on Monday 29 October.
He is accused of agreeing to remove a statement implicating an accused in a murder he was prosecuting in exchange for money.
The National Prosecuting Authority’s Phindi Louw-Mjonondwane said the case was handed over to the Hawks for investigation.
Leballo was released on R5 000 bail and was expected back in court soon.
