Despair about disappearance two years ago

Joel Mashego (39) from Mamelodi East, Bufferzone went missing on 24 November 2014.

A Mamelodi family is in despair about the disappearance of a man almost two years ago.

Joel Mashego (39) from Mamelodi East, Bufferzone, went missing on 24 November 2014.

His sister Keletso complained this week that she was hearing nothing from the police, saying the family had now started its own investigation.

“We reported my brother two days after he went missing at the Mamelodi East police station, but the police have done nothing. They don’t even tell us what is happening,” she said.

“My brother was with friends when he disappeared. He was last seen getting into blue Mazda and left with two men who said they had been looking for him.”

Mashego was wearing a brown T-shirt, black jeans and brown boots.

Mamelodi East police spokesperson Warrant Officer Michael Mbewe was not available for comment.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Joel Mashego could call Keletso on 076-782-1182.
