Vehicle catches fire on the N1

A vehicle caught fire on Thursday morning on the N1 south before the Rigel Avenue in Centurion.

Emer-G-Med spokesperson Braam Kruger said the medics attended to a 3-vehicle accident where one vehicle caught fire.

“Upon arrival, paramedics found that one vehicle had caught fire. The fire department was called in to extinguish the blaze.”

Fortunately no one was injured, he added.

The cause of the fire was unknown, Kruger said. The traffic was severely affected.
