A group of men held staff at Kit-Kat Cash and carry at gun point before forcing them to hand over cash.
The motive of the shooting is unclear, police said.
Police noticed a suspicious looking vehicle which had previously been reported by the community.
The six men are currently out on bail, according to the NPA.
Five people were injured in the process after being caught in the crossfire.
The violence is allegedly because of an on-going feud between two rival taxi operators over routes.
Police could not confirm whether or not the suspects were part of the so-called “Rolex gang”.
They were robbed of money, bags and cellphones.
Locals heard a noise and when they went into the room to investigate, they found the man disembowelling the woman.
“SAPS and community watch groups in the area are conducting a manhunt to find the suspects.”
Police were called to the scene and upon arrival found the couple in their bedroom with bullet wounds in their upper bodies.
